Château des Charmes was founded in 1978 by Paul Bosc, a fifth generation French winegrower. Paul and his young family arrived in Niagara in the 1960’s with the idea that growing our own grapes was the best way to make fine wine. More than ever, we believe in this Estate Winery model and we make our wine only from grapes we’ve grown ourselves.
We had such an awesome experience at Chateau des Charmes this past week! Our tour guide, Maria, did such a great job explaining the wine making process of the Bosc family- it was both interesting and delicious (their wine is amazing!!!). Maria even offered to and took a photo of my boyfriend and I in the barrel cellar (I can’t figure out how to post it but we really appreciated her doing so!!) I highly suggest coming to check out this this winery if you’re in the in the Niagara on the Lake area- it’s definitely one of the best! Thanks, Maria and Bosc family for the great experience
